😴 Head hits the pillow, mind lights up 🧠πŸ”₯

Last night, when my head hit the pillow, my mind lit up. 🧠πŸ”₯

It had so many things it wanted to think about. So even though I'm trying to will it to sleep, it's resisting. It was a losing battle for a little bit until I finally managed to outlast it.

However, I'm starting to figure it out. I'm gaining the upper hand on my mind.

I've noticed a correlation.

Yesterday I spent all day mentally on the go. I jumped from one task to another. When I was cooking and cleaning I put on an audiobook. When I was doing my exercises, I put on a podcast. When I went for a walk, I called a friend.

I didn't really give my mind any time to unwind.

The less space I leave in my day, the more my mind wants to take space at the end of the day (and noticing this correlation is critical to building better sleep habits).

I think it's a sign. A sign to do less. And to be more intentional about it.

What sign are you being sent that's right under your nose?
