Learn To Journal
You’ve heard great things about journaling. Helps you be more intentional. Helps you happen to life instead of life happening to you.
Pretty much all true.
It’s not a cure-all, but it’s certainly a force-multiplier, helping you do more and be more by just taking a few minutes to sit down, reflect, and plan.
But you need to start.
Starting can be the hard part.
That’s why I’ve created this 28 day Learning To Journal progression.
James Clear in Atomic Habits has a 2 minute rule. He says when you’re building a habit, your actions should take less than 2 minutes each time. It’s more important to do it frequently for shorter periods of time than rarely for longer.
Since I’m of the opinion that it helps to journal in both the morning and evening, these prompts reflect that. Set intentions, then reflect and review.
You have here an escalating journal system. It starts small (less than 2 minutes per sitting), and slowly escalates over four weeks (with a little bit extra at the end of every week).
It’s an art, not a science, so I’d appreciate feedback. If you like it and want more, there are more advanced prompts here.
Oh yeah. Print it and fill it out in pen. It works better (science).
Until next time, dream big, journal it up, and live bigger.
