Being Flawed AND Worthy of Love and Success
We made it to episode 50!
First of all, I wanted to thank all of you for listening, engaging and frankly, inspiring the continuation of this show.
A buddy emailed me recently with a question.
How do you reconcile yes I’m flawed, and I need to be better at lots of things with I am great and I’m worthy of all of the love and success that I need. Like, what if I’m not?
I let the question percolate for a bit.
Most of us have thought this at some point in their life.
Truthfully, I’m not totally sure what the answer is. But you know me - I’ve got some thoughts.
We’ve talked about a lot of topics adjacent to this - pulling on the reality lever and the perspective lever comes to mind. We have spoken about chasing achievement.
But the question almost implies that you should only be worthy of all of the love and success you need if you are great at a lot of things. And that’s not true.
So I guess I answer the question with: “No.”
Q: “X or Y?” A: “No.”
You don’t reconcile those two things.
You deserve all of the love and success you need, regardless of whether you’re achieving, crushing life, at a standstill, stalled out, or not where you want to be.
That can be hard to do.
But it’s imperative. And it may not be as hard as you think. I feel more worthy now than I ever have, and you can too.
