"The Happy Lawyer" π
It's not a coincidence that I talked about every lawyer wanting to be a writer yesterday. I've been thinking a lot about writing lately. I have always thought about being a writer.
For me, it's not necessarily about writing, it's about telling stories.
There are fictional stories about swords and sorcery, gods and lizardmen (and believe you me, I'm into those). π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈπ
And then there are non-fictional stories. Stories that get us thinking about our own life and how we want to live. Stories of the heroes among us who've turned adversity into compassion, trial into strength, and vulnerability into leadership.
πππ
I believe that most people are fundamentally good inside.
And the reason we don't show up the way we want to is because life is hard sometimes. Not because that's not who we are.
So: I'm going to write a book.
A book to help burnt-out lawyers feel in control and passionate about life, and I'm looking to interview a few people for the book.
Specifically, I'm looking for people at the beginning of that journey, at the end, and everywhere in between.
All the way from those who have already made progress on feeling grateful, passionate, and happy about life. To those that feel that they're running on fumes and that their current pace isn't sustainable.
We're all different and we're all sort of similar, we have a lot to learn from each other's journeys.
I've been coaching others on this (and working on it myself) for years. In exchange for a 15 min interview, I'd love to gift each person I interview with 45 minutes of my time to see how I can help.
So, my request:
If this describes you, please go here and say "the happy lawyer." I'll take it from there.
If this describes someone you know, please put me in touch with them. They'll be helping light the way for others, so that more of us can bring our best out into the world.
