"Girls like that" β₯ππ
"Well, you guys are all about average height" one of my buddies said to us.
β
"Hey," I protested as I stood up straight. "I'm not short."
β
In the process of unslouching, I probably grew 2-3 inches. Enough to go from average height to above average height. Not "tall" per se, but a bit above average.
β
My buddy looked at me, appraised me, and grunted.
β
"I guess you're right."
β
"Yeah man, just cause I slouch doesn't mean I'm short."
β
"You should stand up straight," he replied. "Girls like that."

β
Girls like that? Girls LIKE that? What did this guy know? I just wanted girls to like me for who I was. And if I was a guy who slouched? They should like that!
β
Well, at the time, I failed to realize one critical thing - we're not static. Just because I slouched then doesn't mean that was who I was.
β
We're not fixed.
β
We change all the time.
β
Some times that change is as simple as standing up straight. Some times it's as important as finally thinking straight.
β
And some times it's as life-changing as finally playing yourself straight - following through on your commitments to yourself.
β
We're all changing all the time.
β
The most important question is NOT "who are you??"
β
The most important question is "who do you want to BECOME????"
β
... and if you're not sure? Drop me a line, I love to talk shop. π
